Pandacat Inc. ("us", "we", or "our") operates the Parsi Parsi website (the "Service"). Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service. It is designed to be compliant with the Google API Services User Data Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
- Data Accessed from Google: When you choose to sign in to our Service using your Google account, we access specific data from Google through the Firebase Authentication service. The only Google user data we access is:
- Your full name (as provided by Google)
- Your primary email address
- The URL of your Google profile picture
- Conversion Data: The Finglish text you enter for conversion is processed by a third-party generative AI service (Google AI) to perform the translation. This data is processed in-memory and is not stored or logged by our Service.
- Anonymous Usage Data: For users who are not signed in, we track the number of characters converted using your browser's local storage. This data is stored only on your device, is not transmitted to our servers, and is not linked to you in any way. It is used solely to enforce our free usage limit.
2. How We Use Your Data
Our use of the Google user data we access is limited to the following purposes:
- To Provide the Service: We use your Google account information to create and manage your user account, which allows you to bypass the anonymous usage limits.
- To Personalize Your Experience: Your name and profile picture are displayed within the application's user interface to confirm that you are signed in.
- To Communicate with You: We may use your email address to send you important service-related notices, if necessary. We will not use it for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.
The text you submit for conversion is used only to provide the translation result and is not used for any other purpose.
3. How We Share Your Data
We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your Google user data (name, email, profile picture URL) with any third parties for their commercial purposes. Data is shared only in the following limited circumstances:
- With Service Providers: Your Google user data is managed by Google's own Firebase Authentication service, which acts as a secure backend for user management. The text you enter for conversion is sent to Google's AI platform for processing. We do not send any of your personal Google user data along with this text.
- For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation.
4. Data Storage and Security
We take the security of your data seriously.
- Your personal account information (name, email, profile picture) is stored securely within the Firebase Authentication system, which is managed by Google and employs industry-standard security measures to protect data.
- We do not store your conversion history (the Finglish you input or the Farsi you receive) on our servers.
While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Data Retention: We retain the personal data associated with your Google account only for as long as you maintain an account with our Service.
Data Deletion: You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated personal data. To initiate this process, please send an email to privacy@pandacat.ca with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". We will process your request and permanently delete your account information from our systems within 30 days.
6. Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13 ("Children"). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us so that we can take necessary action.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace this Privacy Policy at any time and without prior notice. We will post the updated Privacy Policy on this page and update the "Last Updated" date. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised policy.
